Eye Troubles and Lack of Sleep

I didn’t sleep at all well last night, perhaps because of the steroids. I was starting to worry about getting through all of my work as I have my own business so sick pay is an irrelevance. With disturbed sleep and getting up before 4am I think that my eye didn’t have enough rest because it has been hell today. Almost constant painful irritation.

I have tried washing the eye out completely, increasing the amount of eye gel I put in, even having extended ‘eye closed’ periods but it is simply annoying. I am wondering if I have got an animal hair in it – not difficult with the 2x cats and 1x dog in the household. I cannot produce any tears from my right eye and with the gel seeming to be quite sticky I wonder if a hair is trapped in there. Perhaps a trip to the chemist to get an eye bath is in order before the end of the day!

Day 9  – Facial Paralysis Progress

Not really any change since we discovered when I lie down my eye almost closes. there is a hint on the frowning photo that there might be a little movement near the bridge of the nose. I am also trying to not over exaggerate the smile after what the physio said yesterday.
