Bell’s Palsy Facial Twitching!
So there I was happily working away at my computer when I thought ‘Hold on, my chin feels funny’. As I was working I thought this feels weird so once I finished what I was doing I went to the bathroom and had a look in the mirror. The ‘bell’s palsy’ side of my chin was twitching rather manically. I have got a quick bit of video to show you what I mean – its not dramatic but these things make you think ‘is this the beginning of a bigger problem’.
I decided that I needed to relax and try and get rid of it because I was wondering whether the twitch was a result of concentrating too hard or similar. I went and lay down in the beanbags and at the same time my wife did some research on ‘Bell’s palsy facial twitches’ and this is what she came up with.
Facial twitches can be caused in bell’s palsy sufferers from one or more of the following:
- Stress – may be but today wasn’t a particularly stressful day
- Caffine – I do tend to drink too much real coffee and tea but again today wasn’t exceptional in this regard
- Exercise – not this time, sitting typing doesn’t get the heart rate up
